.... in the dumps at the moment – had an email from IAC (our agency) today and only 2 letters went out in January and combined with the 5 in December this obviously doesn’t make us feel that we are even being looked at for the possibility of adoption.
So I have dedicated myself this week to trying to get our networking going even more thru alternative options. Facebook is OK although I did think we would have more members by now (previous blog i stated that i wanted to reach 100 by the end of Feb – still 17 away.
I have found other sites that have babies up for adoption but they are asking for $25k+ which seems a lot to me but the thought did enter my mind about speaking to the wife about it.
Anyway its amazing how by just typing a few simple words out how you can start to feel better about things……… maybe things will get better for us from now!

ReplyDeleteI am an adoptive mother of 2 and we're starting our adoption process for our third baby. I searched for "Open Adoption Blogs" and found you via google. I just wanted to wish you good luck on your "adventure" and say congratulations! Its all worth the wait. We're in SoCal and have adopted through the Adoption Center of San Diego and got our daughter in 9 months and our son in 5 months, start to finish. We're going through the IAC for our home study though. Open adoptions really work and the right baby will find its way to your family. Best of luck! And a suggestion... Add a big "CONTACT US" button to your website.
